Singularity Information Services Pty. Ltd. (Singularity) treats the privacy of its clients and employees very seriously as a matter of respect for each person’s fundamental right to privacy of their personal information.
This policy document serves to outline Singularity’s commitment to privacy in accordance with the National Privacy Principles (NPP).
Collection
Singularity collects personal information voluntarily in order to assist Singularity in the provision of its services. Personal information will not be collected unless for a purpose directly related to a function or activity of Singularity. Where Singularity collects personal information for inclusion in a record, it will take all reasonable steps to ensure that the individual is made aware of the purpose for which the information is being collected.
When you visit our website Singularity may use cookies and IP address data in order to collect statistical information regarding website usage and for the operation of our affiliate programme. Singularity does not match IP addresses with personal information.
Where Singularity has requested information and such information is not provided voluntarily we may not be able to provide a full range of services or may be unable to provide services altogether.
Use and Disclosure
Singularity uses the personal information you provide in order to provide products or services, to communicate with you and to communicate with nominated people in the event of an accident or emergency. Singularity does not provide or sell personal information to external companies for the purposes of marketing. Singularity also collects statistical information in order to improve the level of service provision.
Singularity may be required to provide personal information to external organisations in order to provide you with services and as required by law. This may include, but is not limited to sharing information with suppliers in order to provide you with services. Singularity may also disclose information if it is reasonably believed to be necessary to prevent or lessen a serious threat to life or health of any person.
Data Quality
Singularity relies on clients to advise of changes in personal information in order to maintain a complete, accurate and up-to-date record. Wherever possible, when your personal information has changed we ask that you please contact Singularity at the earliest possible convenience to advise us of these changed details. If you do not ensure we maintain up-to-date personal information we may not be able to continue to provide a full range of services or may be unable to provide services altogether.
Data Security
Singularity will ensure that all reasonable safeguards are taken to ensure that the information it holds is protected against misuse or loss from unauthorised access, use, modification or disclosure. Singularity uses software that employs password security.
Singularity may continue to maintain personal information after the provision of services ceases. Information that is no longer required will be either de-identified or destroyed.
Access and Correction
All clients and employees have the right to inspect their own personal information held by Singularity. Singularity may charge a nominal fee for this service.

Singularity will respond to your complaint as soon as possible, within 14 days and will try to resolve your complaint within 30 days. Wherever this is not possible, Singularity will contact you to provide an estimate of how long it will take to handle the complaint.
